Pre Exodus Era (50 years Before Exodus (BE))

Xworld would have originally have been written for a specific purpose. A rocky, swampy world (least explored areas) it may have been a family age of one member of a future group of conspirators who were interested in taking control of Garternay. Using Xworld as their base, they would have been preparing and plotting. This group probably would have had their relationship and outlooks from various guild conflicts, and lack of rules, and desired gaining ultimate control.

Now how they kept Xworld concealed, and the activities happening in it, I'm not sure.

Eventually the truth of Garternay's death came about, and things would be shifting. Still likely to be intent upon control, they would have been interested in Terahnee, and the other groups leaving Garternay. Perfect situation to be able to gain more control as things change and are less stable to oppose changes they'd want to introduce. But they also stay based in Xworld, with their holdings (resources, work force). They probably would have been assembling a military force as well. Criminal activities would have originally been supporting these conspirators preparations. Slavery and labor would have been key to much of the activites. There was probably a fort. They also had writers in their service, and in the ranks of the top conspirators. Now they would have taken copies of linking books from the various ages that Ronay were leaving to. They would continue to be able to place people in key positions, and gain influence over those in these ages.

At the same time, slaves were looking at this situation as a prime time to attempt escape. Of course the exodus from Garternay would have been controlled (not like the planet was falling apart *yet*). So getting slaves out would have been very risky. Organizers would  help slaves escape to Xworld in attempt to escape Garternay security during the evacuation. One of the key organizers was a conspirator. He was in love with one of the slaves, and was trying to help them escape.

Basically the
conspirators would have allowed them to come to Xworld with the intention that they would have then used them as their own slaves. The organizing conspirator encouraged this notion to get them to allow them to come to Xworld. However, once in Xworld, eventually the new slaves would end up confronted with the true intention of the conspirators. But the new slaves would have sufficient man power to fuel a rebellion against the conspirators. But the rebellion was quickly put down. During the short rebellion, the slaves gained control of part of the fortress, and being enraged they burned the library. The organizing conspirator's son (first wife died) had gone with the D'ni, so he removed the D'ni book before the slaves burned the library. He knew keeping the book to D'ni would be safer for the slaves then risk having the Terahnee book around. It also gave them a possible route of escape. After taking partial control of the fortress, the slaves were unable to resist the conspirators forces.

Eventually the conspirators recovered from the rebellion. Since many of the books were destroyed, they didn't have many options. They had to start writing new ages, especially for new book related resources.

The earlier books written by Xworld writers would have been similar to Gehn's in respect to these individuals being corrupt and not following rules. Eventually their book writing habits would improve with time.

Post Exodus Era ( 0-1800 After Exodus (AE))

Seeing how they were now mostly isolated and exiled from now dying Garternay and it's child Terahnee, they had to work like a society in order to survive. They were having food shortages because Xworld was not a very forgiving age. So they had to work to rebuild their book manufacturing capabilities, along with food production, and maintaining order through force. The slaves would be under control after a few generations would have been broken in. The need for labor was very large, and the need for new ages written for this was very important. Eventually they would have another age where the natives would have been used for slaves as well.

The writers who were originally employed by the conspirators now held ultimate control. Several conspirators who were writers joined up with the writers and form a league of sorts which they were the only ones capable of using and maintaining writing of ages. Headed by a ruthless ex-conspirator, they became the ultimate ruling body. Writing ages became a skill taught to only those who were in this league. The ages of Xworld would be under tight control.

The society of Xworld would have eventually organized itself. In a population of several tens of thousands (about 30), slaves would have composed about three quarters (22,000) of the total population. And the writers, elite and military forces the other fourth. Eventually among the slaves, classes began to form. Those who were higher slaves would eventually be able to manage to get there way out of bondage. Eventually a solid civilian peasant class started to emerge. Eventually there was a range of elite down through peasant, and then slaves, which also had their own pecking order. This would all happen as the population would grow, and order would be put in place. Morals wouldn't be this society's strong point. There would be a lot of things wrong and a great deal of corruption. The writer's league would have continued to be the ruling body, and would have worked out its own inner operation so that it would ensure secrecy of how to create ages. It would also have a more managerial side, and the those apart of it who were just writers.

Eventually new ages would not be hard for the League to come by. They would be able to produce them, but they were strict in policies regarding secrecy, and how many members could actually be allowed to write.

At this point a new inhabited age was written from which new slaves could be taken. They eventually would mix blood with the low class slaves, and become a sub-race who would become despised and hated by all other classes.

In the later part of this era, new ages would be around more, and more visiting of them would have been happening. At this point newer ages would written for resources and labor and purposes you can imagine. Eventually more would have been done with them. Possible using them for living on for elites. Since Xworld isn't the prettiest spot (being a rocky swamp) then eventually moves to other place would slowly happen. Colonies would start to form on other ages.

Also during the later part of the era, several people would try and take more direct control, but ultimately failed.

(note: The D'ni book became lost, and became myth)

Classical Era (1800-3300 AE)

Eventually the system of having the writer's league (who really just had absolute power of ages) began to weaken and deteriorate, and would fall apart. It was the window for those grasping for power to take hold. Eventually factional differences would start to really emerge. Empires and confederacies would begin to form. This would stretch to colonies as well. At this point there were millions living in colonies, and about a half million living on Xworld. Wars began to be really pick up here. Technology and information advanced due to the warfare.

This era need more development, as do the others.

The Turning Point

The subrace slaves were still largely hated among most of the colonies. The homeworld of those who were the ancestors of the subrace were still bred and used as slaves from this age. But since they had become increasingly advanced and large in numbers, a series of events led up to a rebellion on their homeworld. The slaves also attacked on other colonies. Some mayhem followed, but things were quickly cleaned up on the colonies. But the slaves gained control of most of their world. The war continued for some time, but the slaves were loosing, and a new deadly plague started to kill them, and weakening them further. Many of them died, and the rest became immune. The plague spread among the subrace, and eventually the plague was also capable of infected pure bred  Ronay decendents. The war effectively stopped, and the pure xrace pulled out, and eventually the colonies were evacuated to. Many were killed to stop the spreading of the infection. Especially the subrace. Mainly a genocide of apathy. Many instances of purposely spread plague among the subrace occured. The pure ones blamed the subrace for transmitting it to Xworld. Xworld is left behind, and the subrace and infected left behind are left to die. However, enough survive to continue living, and eventual form a civilization

More will be added of course.
